I get the point about only seeing one show and wanting to hear the "hits", but just for the record... I absolutely hate that dudes voice from AC/DC. Off the top of my head I can't think of a more irritating song than Dirty Deeds except for maybe Thunderstruck.

well then, you hate 2 different singers. one is Bon Scott and the other is Brian Johnson. AC/DC does one thing for sure everytime -- they deliver. they are not even close to being one of my favorite bands, but they still rock.

I'm thankful that I didn't know that. Whoever the dude is with the hat, the nose, and the over expressive facial contortions is the one that really bugs.

I have to agree with Wolfpits and Pomadeking, when you live in the hinterlands you really appreciate when you see your favorites. SD has been my favorite band for over 16 years. I've never seen them live, have seen Mike Ness and considered myself very lucky when he played "Ball and Chain." Seeing them perform the same songs over and over has got to be better than not seeing them at all?

You tellem pomade king. Even though they do play in OC every fuckin month, just as soon as i make it out there the band will breakup or ness will retire. Its just my luck.

If anyone is holding out for the show that they will play most of Mainliner or MLM, spare yourself the anguish. If you have followed the band for a long time, you'd realize that they grow and change. Ness has gone from the epitome of mommy's little monster, to learning how wrong and stupid he was when he was young. A 41 year old man is not going to sing about the same thing he did when he was 21 unless it was a hit or still appeals to the masses.
And don't I recall after Hoot, some people that weren't all too familiar with Social D's music complaining that they didn't know any of the songs they played? They can't please em all, just play an awesome show either way. They've never let me down. Even after the inland invasion, when Ness was obviously unhappy to have to come to work, they still stand as the best live show.

Well that's great that Ness is trying to appeal to the new fans. But what about us loyal ones. We've been the ones to stick around. It's been what almost 10 years since an album? I think we deserve better, afterall we are the ones buying his CD's and going to his shows. We are the ones that pay for the tickets which is money in his pocket. I think he ought to remember that a lot of his fans came from the MLM and Mainliner days. I think he should appeal to us A LOT more than he is doing now. I'm not saying every song, but mix it up, so all his fans are satisfied. Is that too much to ask for?

#uck man...too much bitching and moaning. even if it is the same songs a lot, every time i see SD when come around and do different rounds, the sound a lot different and better...so its pretty exciting to look forward to the difference of what was before. Its also really cool to see the new songs change and become a lot more interesting. and they added a friggin organ player, wouldnt you like to hear how some of the other older songs sound with it???
p.s.- AC/DC is AMAZING...how could anyone hate them? i mean come on man...its AC/DC!

Also...why does it always go overlooked when SD DOES change up their setlist? they have done some shows where theyve done a lot different set, and no one seems to mention too much about it...then a month later we're back to this same old bitching?
